Because of this heterogeneity, the comparison of MOOC research results is particularly difficult, just as the understanding of this object and its issues. This article examines MOOC characteristics of the French national platform FUN from October, 2013 till May, 2016. A set of information has been systematically identified in order to create an exhaustive and well-reasoned database. Multiple correspondence analysis (MCA) shows a typology of eight MOOC. This result enables a contextualization of MOOC specificities studied in research.
